Area scrap metal and jewelry store expands to New Hartford

A company here at home that specializes in buying items such as scrap metal and jewelery is expanding.
A Buyer of Gold and Silver Coins and Jewelry officially opened it's doors Wednesday morning in New Hartford.
The family-owned store also has a location in Sherrill.
The owner says they are looking forward to serving people in the greater Utica area.
"It's a good opportunity for people in New Hartford and the surrounding area to realize you know what, there are businesses that are thriving and that if they put their minds to it and put their ducks in a row they can expand their business no matter what," said owner, Gregory VanAlstine.
The store is located at 4 Campion Rd. and is open Mon-Fri from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
