The YWCA Of The Mohawk Valley stands for eliminating racism while empowering women.
And today they kicked off the new year by announcing their 25th annual "Salute To Outstanding Women" event. The event celebrates the accomplishments and contributions of eight women who live and work in Herkimer and Oneida counties.
"I think it's an opportunity to be recognized for the hard work that they do. This event has been going for 25 years. There are women in this community that are constantly speaking out and really enveloping the qualities of what we stand for as the YWCA," says Kristi Brennan, YWCA employee.
The "Salute To Outstanding Women" luncheon will be held on April 4th at Hart's Hill Inn. And the nomination forms are now available online.
