It's something most of us take for granted - the ability to walk. But
for some people with multiple sclerosis, they don't have this luxury. In
honor of MS Awareness Week, the National MS Society is giving away a
golden buzzaround lite scooter donated by 101 Mobility. Contestants
wrote brief essays explaining why they would benefit from the scooter,
and Eyewitness News caught up with the winner who says this scooter will
change her life.
"It effects almost every aspect of my life, my walking, it just makes it really difficult and I think this scooter will help. It's another freedom for me, to keep up with my kids, and mom won't be straggling behind," says Stephanie Hoffert, scooter winner.
And Stephanie says she has 2 children and a husband who can't wait for her to be more active.
