Primary Day in New York

Republican voters in New York will head to the polls today for the state's GOP presidential primary.


Polls will be open from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. Mitt Romney is widely expected to beat challengers Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.  In the most recent Siena poll, Romney was the pick for 51 percent of voters. Rick Santorum was 2nd at 18 percent -- Paul and Gingrich were 3rd and 4th. Santorum has since dropped out of the race.

Republican voters is Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Delaware will also cast their votes today. The next major election in New York is June 26th -- when the state's congressional primary races will be decided.
