LAKE FOREST, IL - Chicago Bears CB Charles Tillman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October after helping lead the Bears to a 4-0 record by recording two interception return touchdowns (25 yards at Dallas and 36 yards at Jacksonville), holding Lions Pro Bowl WR Calvin Johnson to a season-low 34 yards on three receptions and anchoring a secondary that held opposing quarterbacks to an NFL-low 61.9 passer rating (105 of 171 for 1,115 yards, three touchdowns and 10 interceptions).
Tillman is the
second consecutive Bears player to win Defensive Player of the Month after

Including Peppers in November of 2011, the Bears have won three of the last four NFC Defensive Player of the Month awards. Tillman is the sixth Bears player to win the award (seven total honors) since it first started in 1986.
