Local crafters Linda Laubenthal, "Knits and Bits by Linda," and Ellen Valeriano, "Decorative Embroidery," have been preparing all year for the show by building their inventory of favorites and creating new designs for the upcoming holiday season. Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research, diagnosis and treatment programs Talented artists and crafters from across New York as well as local bakers have contributed a wide array of handmade items for the raffle and bake sale portion of the weekend. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. "The public is invited to stop by and see everything that's offered, said Linda Laubenthal, organizer of the event "It's a great time to start their holiday shopping, take a chance on some incredible art, and pick up a few baked goods for the weekend." Kathy Peters, Special Events Director for the American Cancer Society, added, "It's a wonderful event with unique items you won't find anywhere else. We are so appreciative of all that Linda, Ellen and the New York Crafters have done for the fight against breast cancer."
