    This week we spoke with Dr. Van Slyke about Dry Eye Syndrome, which is caused when the gland that produces tears don't produce enough of the film to cover the eyes.

    Its important to have your eyes checked before you assume that you have dry eyes and start treatment so that a doctor can determine the best type of treatment.   Most times an over the counter artificial tears will fix the problem but other treatment options are also available to hold your natural tears in the eye longer.
