Dr. Fayez F. Chahfe is a man passionate about his profession, his family, his patients and about the hospital that is his second home.  He said his Lebanese Catholic parents inspired him to become a healer, and the confidence the hospital has had in him has won his loyalty to St. Elizabeth.

He is poised to offer the region’s first minimally invasive endoscopic thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and endoscopic skull-based surgery. 

Dr. Chahfe is a board-certified surgeon with a private otolaryngology practice that is in a growth spurt.  He recently brought Dr. Richard Silverman into the practice as an ENT allergist.
Otology is a subspecialty of otolaryngology that deals with problems relating to the ear, such as hearing and balance. 

In addition to being an ear, nose, and throat specialist, Dr. Chahfe is also a very active member of his church and his community.

Board Certification: ENT-Head and Neck Surgery, American Board certified as well as College of Surgeons of Quebec, Canada.

Practice: Active staff in ENT, 1991-1994, Reddy Memorial Hospital, Montreal; active staff surgery and ENT, 1994-present, St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica.

Fellowships: American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, American Society of Rhinology, American College of Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons and the Skull Base Society.
