There will be a CO-ED Softball Tournament on July 24th at Stevens Field in Rome on July 24th to help benefit Patty Anken Koons. I don't mean to disparage the value of The Joe Kelly Show, but it should never interrupt or hold up the broadcast of the nightly National News, which is of much greater importance in the scheme of things. 9:45 AM the cannon went off for the start of the 3 mile Heart Run at the Whitestown Vets. I teared up a little as I hit me just how long ago it was the first and last time I did a run of any kind. I was 23 and I pushed myself to injury and to dissapointment in 1999. Here I am now at 34. It went by quicker than I thought and though I had to walk some points (a lot of other people did too), I still ran nearly 2 of the 3 miles, including almost the entire way from Notre Dame to the finish l... Well I met with a trainer on Tuesday of this past week. His name is John and he was great explaining the weight machines and doing a chart for me. He was very patient and took his time with me which I really appreciated. Yesterday, 03/06/10 I did the Heart Run & Walk (3 miles) and my feet were sore afterwards. On Saturday, March 13, from 11-1 the Mt. Markham Jr. Optimist Club will host a Carnival at the Mt. Markham Elementary School, Fairground Road in West Winfield. There will be lots of fun games to play and great prizes to win. Also, you can give someone a pie in the face. Many teachers have signed up to get a pie in the face. Last week was another challenging week. Good workout Monday, headcold Tuesday and Wednesday, Snowstorm Thursday and Friday. At least I got a good workout Saturday with Jeff, Fern, Danielle and Harron! It was great seeing everyone and getting feedback & encouragement about this program.
