Happy Vietnamese New Year!

Many people around the world are celebrating the New Year today. East Asian countries celebrate the Lunar New Year, originating in China. Eyewitness News stopped by the Quan Am Temple in Utica as the members enjoyed the Vietnamese New Year. Called 'Tet,' it's the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture. It's a three day celebration and as one member shared with us, a time of great reflection. "It's a time to remember, time of thanks," says Chi Tiuong, "We go to temple, we pray, get together."
The members shared with Eyewitness News that while they only celebrate for three days here, in the past, the New Year's celebration would last up to a month. This is the year of the dragon.
