It's day two of David Trebilcock's murder trial.

The prosecution called four witnesses to the stand - among them was a trauma nurse, two investigators from the state police and a sergeant from the UPD who specializes in forensic examination in computers.

The defense then called its first witness to the stand, the chief psychologist at CNY Psychiatric Center. Dr. Nichole Marioni evaluated Trebilcock's mental state. She says tests suggest that Trebilcock may suffer from schizophrenia and personality disorder. He may also have post-traumatic stress disorder. But, Judge Michael Dwyer questioned whether the testing is accurate because he was evaluated after the crime happened.

"So, the tests are inquiring how he is feeling now. So, the only way to assess how he was feeling or what might have been going on prior to when I'm interacting with him is per history, per records or what he says or what people say," said Dr. Marioni.

The doctor says she spoke with Trebilcock's family members and one of his close friends to get background information. The prosecution questions how accurate these evaluations and tests really are. The trial continues tomorrow.
