Vehicle Malfunction to Blame for Car Crash

A vehicle malfunction caused a car to swerve off the road and hit a utility pole in the City of Rome.

Around 5 p.m. on Friday, 40-year-old Jeffrey S. Kimball was heading southbound on Route 26. His car rolled numerous times after hitting the utility pole. Kimball was taken to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for treatment.

Kimball is to appear at Rome City Court later this month for unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
