The IRS gives you three years to file an old tax return and claim your old refund.
So if you have not filed your 2008 taxes yet, you only have two weeks left to claim that money.
Senator Charles Schumer says around 180 Central New Yorkers still have thousands in unclaimed and undelivered refunds that will stay in Washington come April 17th if they are not claimed.
Undeliverable tax refunds are often a result of an address change.
