The Utica Teachers Association has voted down a new contract today.
The teachers' union president, Larry Custodero says that now it's back to the bargaining table.
Custodero would not give exact numbers, but says they plan to have more information available tomorrow.
For now, Custodero says the next step is for the negotiating team to meet tomorrow and set up a new strategy.
If the teachers had voted for the new contract, around 100 jobs could have been saved as well as full-day Kindergarten.
