Tuesday is voting day for schools throughout Central New York, with the Utica City School District being one of many.

The district is facing financial problems in the budget, including a $10 million gap in the budget.

Eyewitness News stopped by the JFK Middle School in North Utica where around 200 people had shown up to vote by 6 p.m.

The chairperson says that she was surprised that more people had not come out, due to the jobs on the chopping block with the 2012-2013 budget.
