And now, there's one more reason to think of Vincent Colgan.
"We're renaming our training center after him to honor him....everything we walk through the doors here we'll remember him and all the hard work that he's given us, especially in light of all the challenges that he's had over the last couple years," said Joanna Greco, the President of the Arc Board of Directors.
A little over a year ago Vincent suffered from a stroke.
When that happened, he didn't think he'd be coming back to work.
But it was the Arc that got Vincent to where he is today.
"It wasn't until I got back to work that I really started to feel whole again. It's hard to describe, but you just feel normal, you feel useful, and it's only at the Arc that I felt like that," said Colgan.
The recognition came as a surprise to Mr. Colgan at the Arc's annual meeting Tuesday night.
"When she said I have something for you...I was overcome with emotion so I can't believe it. It's a special honor to be in this particular room to have that named after you," he said.
And while Vincent's time at the Arc is coming to an end, his legacy is here to stay.
"I don't know anyone that deserves this dedication more than Vincent. He'll still be here in our hearts," said Greco.
Along with Colgan, 7 others were honored at tonight's meeting.
