Neighbors in Deerfield say they are still shocked about the murder/suicide investigation that occurred in their neighborhood.
Police say a call came in around 2 p.m. Friday.
The deadly incident happened inside a home on the corner of Carver Street and Trenton Road in Deerfield.
It appears that 27-year-old Thomas Anderson shot 23-year-old Kylie Turczyn.
Neighbors say that instances like this don't happen in this neighborhood.
They say the people who lived in the home seemed like a typical family.
One neighbor says she had known Turcyzn because she was the same age as her daughter.
"She used to play with my daughter as a child, they lost track over the years, but she used to come to the house.....she was nice and quiet, I used to see her walking around here now, she was a very nice girl," said Neighbor, Elaine Pridemore.
"When you see police cars...what's going on...it's nice and quiet around here, so it's not typical for something like this. It just disrupts the flow," said another neighbor, David Tullison.
Tullison says despite what has happened, the neighborhood will continue to remain strong.
He says that things like this happen all over, and it's something that no one could have predicted.
