Herkimer County Community College is offering children a hands-on and interactive camping experience this week.
Robotics Mini-Camp is geared toward middle school aged students interested in science and robotics. One campers says it gives him a unique summer activity that is different than most camps offered for his age group.
"The athletic camp you go and you just work on your muscles, but this, you work on your brain muscles. And we have to do these missions to try and program the robots and stuff by ourselves," says Garrett Wellington, 6th grader.
Campers learn to program and build mobile robots, apply measurement and geometry to calculate robot navigation, and experiment using the latest robotic design concepts.
