It's been an ongoing battle for months - synthetic drugs and bath salts - tonight a panel of area officials gave a presentation on steps they're taking to address the issues

The Center for Family Life and Recovery and panelists ranging from police officers, toxicologists, to nurses - spoke to the community about all of the the avenues they're taking to combat these issues, locally and state wide.

"A room full of people who are here to provide an opportunity to collaborate to keep our community whole and to keep it healthy. So our whole purpose tonight is to look at prevention, to look at intervention, and help people in recovery; to help people sustain recovery, to help people achieve recovery," says Cassandra Sheets, CEO The Center for Family Life and Recovery.

More than 100 community members came out to the presentation. Attendees told Eyewitness News they're happy the community is holding open-discussions to keep them informed and educated about synthetic drugs in our area.
