Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri held a summer celebration fundraiser this evening. Friends and family of the mayor paid 50 dollars a plate to eat and mingle. One attendee says it was a nice way to meet and talk with other supporters of the mayor.

"I really feel we need to support our mayor and it's wonderful with all the great things he's doing for this city. very nice turnout here today. all of these people are strong supporters of the mayor," says Lucretia Hunt, Palmieri supporter.

The mayor says the dinner is a political fundraiser and a fun gathering to bring the community together.
