Catholic Charities of Herkimer County held its 7th annual Window of Hope Luncheon. Community members and leaders gathered at the Knights Inn in Little Falls.

The event not only honored various residents who support the organization's efforts, but it was also a way to fundraise. The donations will help Catholic Charities use it towards emergency assistance programs they provide for the community.

"We have a number of sister agencies, like the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. We work very closely with them we have quite an extremely poor rural area. And without an agency like ours and our sister agencies the folks would be at a critical loss for needed services," said Terry Leonard, the Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Herkimer County.

Catholic Charities says it provides programs for the youth, domestic violence victims and the poor.
