Faxton St. Luke's Cancer Center Hosts "Prostate Cancer Update" Seminar

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Faxton St. Luke's Regional Cancer Center and The American Cancer Society's held a seminar this evening to educate the community about prostate cancer. The American Cancer Society mission manager says prostate cancer affects more than just the person diagnosed.
"The main goal is to educate the general public, families that go through prostate cancer, families that go through prostate cancer. prostate cancer diagnosis is something that affects not just one male. It affects a family, it affects a job, it affects things that he has to go through," says Jason Warchal, American Cancer Society mission manager.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths in men, and in 2011 there were an nearly 250,000 cases of prostate cancer diagnosed in the United States.
