As we reported, many law enforcement agencies will be taking part in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day tomorrow. The Oneida Indian Nation Police Department started their Drug Take-Back today. This marks the fifth time Oneida Nation Police and DEA agents have teamed up to help the public dispose of unwanted prescription medications. The chief says he thinks take-back days will help put an end to prescription drug abuse.

"Everyday in this country, 25 hundred children experience some issue with prescription drugs. The biggest benefit is the safety of everybody concerned. This has become a large problem in our country and take-back prescription drugs is the answer to getting rid of that problem," says Joe Smith, Chief Oneida Indian Nation Police Department.

Previous nationwide drug-back days have taken over 1-point-five million pounds of prescription medications out of circulation. Those who want to drop off prescription drugs with Oneida Nation can take them to the Turning Stone Event Center driveway from 10am to 2pm tomorrow.
