Embracing diversity and exposing human rights violations around the world.
Those are two of the themes of the 2nd Annual Unspoken Human Rights Festival, that kicked off today. The Unspoken conference explores the universal nature of gender violence and the possibilities for gender-peace in our world. Coordinators say it's all about learning and embracing diversity.
"Opportunity to learn about so many things in the world that just aren't talked about. And that are happening and gives us an opportunity to see what we can do to uphold human rights and dignity and participation in our own lives," says Lisanne Divine, conference producer.
