Area seniors were able to meet candidates running for an elected office this afternoon. It was a part of the Parkway Senior Center's Annual Meet the Candidates Day.

Seniors were able to talk to candidates one on one and ask about their platforms. The event also allowed the candidates to see what concerns the seniors have.

"We do need assistance in keeping Medicare and Social Security which we worked for all of our lives. And we are looking for candidates who will appreciate that and enforce our programs with Medicare and Social Security and other programs throughout the area," said Flo Brindisi, a member at the Parkway Senior Center.

Candidates also learned what programs the Parkway Senior Center offers and what affects its members the most.
