Knowing the popularity of the chocolates, Richard bought his first batch of the season several weeks ago.
But when getting ready to order the next round on The Madelaine Chocolate Company's website, there was a problem.
"I went on their website yesterday and it said temporarily closed until possibly May or June," said Orilio.
And the reason for the closing, was because of Superstorm Sandy.
"Their shop had salt water come in and ruined all their machines and their machines were covered in salt water up to six feet," he said.
Typically Richard orders around six to eight variations of the novelty chocolates for customers.
But because of Sandy's impact, Richard's stock is limited.
"It means lack of sales, and lack of product for the customer and the customer has to come in earlier to buy it, because what I have is what I have," he said.
And while Richard will have to do some extra planning to find a new temporary product, he says his heart goes out to the chocolate company and those who are still dealing with the aftermath.
He also says he won't be raising any of his prices at his store.
