Troy and Patricia Little always knew they wanted a big family.
"We had two of our own and we figured when we went into foster care we had the chance to help other children other than our own," said Patricia.
The family took Gabriella and Dakota into their care as foster children a little over two year ago.
After having them in their home, they decided to officially make them family at the Adoption Day Celebration in Syracuse.
"It's exciting to know that as of today they're ours. They're our children. From day one they've been a part of the family but today makes it official. When they ring that bell, they're Littles," said Patricia.
"I feel happy because ever since we came to live with them my brother and I felt so great," said Gabriella.
Along with the Littles, Dora Burnett welcomed her new daughter Tanyelle into the family.
Dora never had plans to adopt, but after meeting Tanyelle almost three years ago, it was an instant bond.
"It's very special. Tanyelle is such a great kid and she just means so much to me and the family and I love her so much," she said.
A total of 63 adoptions were finalized, with 20 in Oneida County and 10 in Herkimer County.
Those who were part of the joyous event say they hope it encourages new families to adopt in the future.
