Several staff members at St. Elizabeth Medical Center were busy packing up Thanksgiving baskets Monday afternoon.

Monday was the hospital's 37th annual "Operation Share" initiative.

The staff prepares Thanksgiving baskets to over 300 families in need around the community and will feed around 2,000 people in total.

"It's a great feeling for all of us. I never have to go for any volunteers or look for any volunteers. Everyone is willing to help and it's something that's needed in the community and it just feels good to be able to do something for the community this time of year and all year long," said James Getter, The Director of Hospital Services.

Getter says they're already planning for next year.
