There's something new hanging high that might catch your attention in Clinton.

One of the donors of the Community Foundation wanted to show his appreciation to the Clinton Fire Department and local heroes, so he donated a new flag pole.

The unveiling of it all took place Tuesday afternoon.

The makers of the pole, and Andy Mazloom, who donated the money were happy to see the firefighters receiving their new gift.

"I think that while we were even standing here, we saw big smiles on their faces and it really does mean something to the firefighters and to the town here in Clinton, that they do have these things that mean who they are," said Cassaundra Baber, Marketing and Communications Officer at the Community Foundation.

Before this new flag pole, the other one had been there since 1921.
