In honor of International Human Rights Day, activists gathered together to let their voices be heard. About 50 people marched in front of Representative Richard Hanna's Utica office, calling on him to end tax breaks for wealthy Americans. And to protect Medicare, Medicaid, and social security for working families.

"Because this is what democracy looks like. This is our voice. We're not millionaires; We're just regular folks that believe these programs are important and believe the benefits that serve so many people need to be protected," says Fred Monaco, NYS Central New York Labor Council.

As negotiations over the fiscal cliff heat up, activists say they marched today to make sure these important programs are protected.
