Linda Rae Avolio discusses why people age differently, and how it's been proven that people who live in a retirement community live 7 to 10 years longer than those who live at home in isolation.

One of the components to living longer is activity. Acacia village residents have plenty of exercise options to keep them active and healthy. The second component of successful aging is social interaction. The third component is cognitive stimulation. Acacia Village offers classes and other challenging exercises that stimulate the brain. The fourth component in successful aging is spiritual fufillment. Acacia Village not only offers worship services, but their residents also get spiritual fufillment from helping one another as neighbors.

Residents also can get involved in volunteer work. Successfully aging and living independently is all about staying active, and at Acacia Village the residents can be as active as they want to be.
