Again, the valley community has been reacting all day and into the
evening. Many were confused and in shock as today's events unfolded. One
Mohawk mother says she feared for her life and the lives of her
children.
"I was home along with my kids, so it was scary. It happened like right in front of my house, like i live right behind where it happened. And i just locked the doors and brought the kids into the other room so it would look like nobody was home and then my husband called the owners of john john's the owner of the portapottey place, their business is right behind our place and they came over and helped me get the kids out of the house really fast and i just went and stayed at my dad's for the day," says Heather Talarico, Mohawk resident.
And we also spoke with another Central New York resident who weighed in on gun control and how he thinks today's events could effect gun laws.
"I think in our area is very pro gun, like I said being from the country, hunting, fishing, everything like that, everybody does that around here that's a staple in that area. I think if anything its going to make it more pro gun," says Joseph Balio, Mohawk resident.
