This year's Boilermaker Road Race sold out in 68 hours. But, there's still a way to run the race if you weren't able to register. 200 bibs will be available for runners next week.

But, to participate runners must register with a chosen charity and commit to raise a minimum of $500 in pledges.

"The boilermaker is a change agent for this community. The boilermaker is made by this community. This will be a chance for us to give back to the community in a big way. We knew there was a heavy demand as far as the bibs were concerned. This was an opportunity for us to take advantage of this and do something good for the community," said President, Tim Reed.

The charity signup will go live on Monday, March 18th at noon.

The race will also be giving away prizes to the top three who raise the most money, including a free entry to the next five boilermakers.

To sign up, the charity bib icon can be found on www.Boilermaker.Com.

Birnie Bus Service will be partnering up with Boilermaker this year to make it easy for out-of-town runners.

Boilermaker bus services will have stops in Syracuse, Rome and Lowville. The buses will pick up runners from the three locations and take them to the 15k starting line in Utica.

Once the race is complete, buses will pick up runners at the post-race party and take them back.

It is $5 per person round trip. To reserve a seat, go to www.BoilermakerBusService.com.
