- Utica's First Television Stations to Broadcast News in Full HD -
Utica, New York and IRVING, Texas (August 15, 2011) - Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) announced today that WFXV-TV (FOX) and WUTR-TV (ABC) will debut EYEWITNESS NEWS in full high definition broadcasts beginning Monday, September 12, at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm on WUTR and 10:00 pm on WFXV. WFXV and WUTR will be Uitca's first stations to offer full HD broadcasts of locally-produced newscasts and the announcement comes as the stations expand their service to the Utica community with a full complement of local newscasts.
Nexstar Broadcasting owns WFXV and WPNY and through an outsourcing agreement provides services to WUTR, which is licensed to Mission Broadcasting. WFXV and WUTR serve the Utica, New York and Central New York communities and have a rich tradition of providing quality local programming, marketing opportunities and local event coverage.
In addition to airing EYEWITNESS NEWS at 6:00 pm, 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm, CNYhomepage.com will provide up-to-the-minute details of breaking news across Central New York as well as the most current and accurate weather forecast and radar feeds.
Full HD News
In addition to regularly provided HD programming on WUTR and WFXV, full HD news production will be provided to Utica viewers exclusively through Eyewitness News on September 12th. This initiative and investment in technological advancements will provide an exclusive enhancement for viewers and advertisers in the Utica DMA. Cutting-edge technology will deliver an exceptional experience to viewers while enhancing the marketing platform for advertisers through deployment of state-of-the art technology.

EYEWITNESS NEWS in Full HD will be available Monday-Friday at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm on WUTR (ABC). The locally produced newscast will complement the station's strong programming lineup which includes Regis and Kelly, Entertainment Tonight, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Extreme Home Makeover and The Bachelor.
EYEWITNESS NEWS at 10:00 pm in Full HD on WFXV FOX 33 will air Monday-Friday and will complement the station's strong programming lineup which includes, Two and a Half Men, The Simpson's, The X Factor, House, Glee, Bones, American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.
WPNY (MyNetwork TV) will air local news at 7:00 pm Monday-Friday to give viewers another option for the latest headlines, in-depth reporting and weather forecasts.
State of the Art Facility
Nexstar Broadcasting is making significant upgrades to the studio and control room area in Utica. The news operation is being designed to fully integrate new technology and newsgathering techniques and the technology which is being used to produce the full HD newscasts will be unmatched in the market. Construction on the facility will be completed in mid-August.

Caroline Gable as co-anchor of WUTR EYEWITNESS NEWS at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm and FOX 33 EYEWITNESS NEWS at 10:00 pm. Ms. Gable calls Utica home where she was a former reporter and part-time anchor at WKTV in Utica.
Jeff Matthews as Chief Meteorologist for EYEWITNESS NEWS. Mr. Matthews brings multiple years of experience to meteorology and broadcasting and holds the seal of approval from both the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA).
