This year's Zombie Walk at the Uptown Theater in Utica was a successful one.

The walk raised $700 all together for The Stevens-Swan Humane Society and The Food Bank of Central New York

A check for $350 was presented to the Humane Society Monday afternoon, along with 111 animal food items that were collected.

"I think we really made a difference by dressing up like zombies and freaking Utica out a little bit, so we hope to continue to grow on it each year, " said Zombie Walk Director, Kyle Riecker.

He says they want to continue to support the local animal shelters and sanctuaries in the future.

Riecker also says that they were higher on the donations this year than last.
