Poll site coordinator Darlene Shelton had a great smile
on her face when Eyewitness News asked her how election the day was going. "People are
coming in, very steadily since 6 A.M.," she said, "Everyone's coming out we
have a beautiful day." This is her third year working at a poll site, and she said
she thinks it's the busiest Election Day she's yet to see.
Shelton said there were been no major problems. She said people are used to filling out the ballots and using the machines by now, and she noted that training for poll site coordinators was a lot better this year. Oneida, Otsego, and Herkimer County Boards of Elections all confirmed that the day went smoothly. And voters Eyewitness News spoke to all agreed.
