Keeping Healthy: At Home Exercises

With the daylight hours getting shorter, its often hard to find the motivation to get to the gym. But the worst excuse you can make is that you don't have time for your work out. I laced up my sneakers tonight to take on five effective exercise moves you can even do at home. Calling all procrastinators, this message is for you. "what I always tell people is that you can pay for your fitness now or you can pay for your sickness later." On today's fitness menu, a work out that's simple, and effective, and it starts with a squat -- one of the best overall body exercises it incorporates upper and lower body strength, and works the core your abs and back. --- ready for a challenge add a little weight to make it even more intense. "you always want to make sure there are a couple of different elements in your exercise program, strength training and flexibility, all those components should be keyed into any exercise program." Runners up the lunge, an exercise that will make you sore --- but that only means your muscles are getting toned. The balancing core strength exercise works the hamstrings gluts quads and also balance --- if you can keep your balance. Taking the elevator take the stairs instead, or mimic it with the step up. It's don't matter how high the step, but work one leg at the time for the best benefit- until fatigue. "Again keeping the head up, keeping the chest up good posture." The age old push up takes a new slant if you pair it with a bar, (video 13:09:00) Don't have one of these use the edge of a table and your body weight does all the work for you. Just keep your body line straight, and do it slow. And finally, the most simple looking exercise the plank... Not to be confused with the recent popularity of planking
This is a core strengthening exercise you can do on the floor and with practice ... You'll build stamina, and maybe even the respect of fitness guru's at the gym. "I'll stay here all day long. All day long? I don't think I can last all day."
