By: Stephen Bond
Updated: December 1, 2011
Long time assistant Syracuse Coach coach Bernie Fine was fired late Sunday night. The thirty-five year SU assistant coach was relieved of his duties by Chancellor Nancy Cantor. Fine's exit comes at the heals of a third alleged victim. Over the weekend tapes were released of a phone call between Laurie Fine and Bobby Davis. During the call Fine's wife said,"I know everything that went on with him... Bernie has issues, maybe he's not aware of, but he has issues... And you trusted somebody you shouldn't have trusted." Former Syracuse great Gerry Mcnamara has been temporarly promoted in Fine's leave.
