It's that time of year where many people are starting to pick out the Christmas tree. In honor of the season's centerpiece, Eyewitness News stopped by Massoud's Tree Farm in New Hartford.
Massoud's has many trees pre-cut on display all ready to go. But if you're feeling a little more adventurous, you can cut them down yourself. And with over 300 acres of tree land, there's bound to be the perfect one out there for everyone.
Omar Massoud has been in the Christmas tree business for 24 years. "Every time we had a baby we planted a block of trees to grow along with the baby," he says, "Four children later we had a lot of trees so we had to figure out what to do with them."
He says working with his family, being close to nature, and the customers make being in the tree farm business a very special one. "A short while ago we had some young children here and the excitement and happiness on their faces...It's just nice having those people here."
