With the holiday season in full swing... People are out and about doing some holiday gift shopping... We'll take a look at toy safety and what you need to look out for before buying the perfect gift for little ones. In recent years new federal laws required toy manufacturers to adhere to stricter standards. As a result the number of toys recalled has dropped dramatically. But, experts do have reminders for those buying toys this year. "Small children tend to explore their universe with their mouth. Everything goes from their hand to their mouth and subsequently you want to avoid toys that have small parts or easily removable parts, toys that would come apart with twisting and turning which small children tend to do." Authorities want to remind parents that the packaging toys come in can also be hazardous to children as well.
