One mysterious poster has put up an ad on Craigslist asking for a Holiday girlfriend.
Just before the newscast, the mystery poster responded to Eyewitness News saying he has gotten an overwhelming amount of responses.
And this man has quite the criteria for potential daters.
Eyewitness News wanted to find out if people in the area would be up for going on a date with a mystery poster.
All of the women responded no, saying it seems a bit odd.
For Kayla Adams, she doesn't understand why this man wouldn't want a year long girlfriend?
"It's kind of a slap in the face. Why just for the holidays? I understand that it's a lonely time, but you're not lonely for the rest of the year. It's kinda weird," said Adams.
Many people think it's strange, but would it be safe to respond for a hopeful woman?
"It's creepy and it's unacceptable," said Mandy Murphy.
Ashley Miller says you have no idea who is on the computer, and it could end up being someone like the "Craigslist Killer."
And when asked if the role was reversed, and it was a woman seeking a holiday boyfriend, would that make it okay?
The one man we asked said he would be scared for his life.
"Craigslist isn't really necessary for this. They've had things happen on Craigslist before that's scary," said Murphy.
"It's definitely a step below going on dating websites to post on Craigslist. That's something you sell things on," said Miller.
So even though these women wouldn't respond to the ad. This Craigslist stranger will be keeping busy looking through potential prospects applications. Eyewitness News hopes to get in touch with the poster next week for an interview.
