Utica Man Charged in Dispute at Turning Stone Casino

27-year-old Selvedin Nuhanovic is charged with aggravated criminal contempt, assault and criminal obstruction of breathing after he physically assaulted a female companion during a dispute at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona.
Onedia-based state police are investigating the domestic dispute.
According to reports, Nuhanovic physically assaulted the woman by punching and choking her.
Nuhanovic is also being charged with criminal mischief after punching a hole in the plaster wall of the casino security office while being detained. The 29-year-old female victim was sent to the Oneida Healthcare Facility where she was treated for a broken nose.
