She wasn't the mayor or the chief of police, but she was an important part of the greater Utica community. Sister Rose Vincent Gleason touched every life she encountered. But she was most well known for her influence on Utica health care. "When she went out, everybody knew she represented St. Elizabeth's Hospital, that's who she was there for. And you know, but she was always very much for the area and doing positive things and the right thing but she was St. Elizabeth's Hospital. That's how I remember her and that's certainly how I would think of it" Sister Rose Vincent was the president and c-e-o for more than twenty years but to those who knew her, the title never really described the type of person she really was.
