Three Car Accident in Rome, Drunk Driving to Blame

Drinking and driving is to blame for a three car accident in Rome. According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Daniel Armstrong of Blossvale was driving his pickup truck when he rear ended a Dodge 2005 pickup that was stopped at a red light in a construction zone on Route 69.
As the Dodge pickup truck was hit, it also rear ended a 2003 Ford Taurus that was also stopped at the traffic light.
Armstrong was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and following too closely. The passengers in the Ford Taurus were sent to Rome Hospital. Armstrong is also a suspect of a hit and run accident which happened earlier in the evening.
