Low Income Mobile Program

If you take part in programs such as Medicaid or food stamps you may qualify for a free cell phone. Assurance Wireless is offering a phone and 250 free minutes a month to qualified people. The program is a lifeline assistance program supported by the federal universal service fund. It all started in 2009 in just four states. Now the program is in thirty-one states, including New York State.
