Syracuse Man Charged with Aggravated DWI on Thruway

Police responded to multiple reports of erratic driving on the Thruway after Oneida County 911 Center received several phone calls in the Town of Westmoreland.
Anthony M. Imbesi, owner of Market Diner in Syracuse was pulled over and charged with Aggravated DWI and Failure to Obey a Police Officer.
Imbesi was pulled over at the Westmoreland toll plaza but got of the moving vehicle while it was still in drive. Troopers reacted quickly and were able to stop the car.
According to police reports, Imbesi's blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. He was arraigned in the Town of Verona Court and released on $10,000 bail.
He is due back in court in the Town of Westmoreland February 8th at 3:00 p.m.
Further charges for Aggravated Harassment are pending at this time.
