Lifelong Utica Resident, Mark Mazzo doesn't want to see his taxes go up.
On Thursday night he was able to bring these concerns to the table for some of the council members.
"We need cooperation with the unions, and I think working together with unions we could come down and lower this tax rate where it should be," said Councilman David Testa.
Along with the idea of lowering taxes Mazzo also brought up another idea.
"A wage cut across the board. I know it doesn't sound fair, but everybody has to chip in. I can't always be the taxpayer. I don't want to see people getting laid off," said Mazzo.
