Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare Staff Changes

Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare announces some staff changes. This is the media release from FSLH:

Perioperative Services at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare (FSLH) is pleased to make the following staff announcements.

Joan Cardarelli, RN, BSN, has been named nurse manager for Pre-Admission Testing and Ambulatory Surgery at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare. Cardarelli's previous position with FSLH was as nurse manager of the Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)/Endoscopy/Pre-Admission Screening (PAS) at the Faxton Campus. She has been a staff nurse for various departments including ASU, the Operating Room and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and also served as charge nurse for Pre-Admission Testing. Cardarelli has been employed at FSLH for more than 30 years. Cardarelli received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Morrisville College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Utica College.

Diane Graniero, RN, BSN, has been named nurse manager of Endoscopy Services at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare. Graniero's previous position with FSLH was as nurse manager of the Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU)/Endoscopy at the St. Luke's Campus. Graniero has been employed at FSLH for more than 32 years and was the charge nurse in ASU, where she worked for more than 26 years. Graniero received her registered nurse degree from St. Elizabeth College of Nursing and her Bachelor of Nursing Science from SUNYIT Utica-Rome.

Barbara Kantor, RN, has been named clinical nurse manager at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare. Kantor's previous position with FSLH was as nurse manager of Surgery and the Recovery Room at the Faxton Campus. Kantor was also a staff RN and the interim charge RN in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the Faxton Campus. When she first joined FSLH, she was a staff RN. Kantor received her registered nurse degree from St. Elizabeth College of Nursing and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Nursing from SUNYIT Utica-Rome. Kantor is a member of FSLH's Perioperative Quality Council and a graduate of the Aspiring Leaders program. She is also an ISO: 9001 certified internal auditor for the organization.

Charles Williams, BSHA, has been named director of Perioperative Operations at Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare. Williams' previous position with FSLH was as director of Central Sterile which he will continue to oversee in addition to his new role. Perioperative Operations is a multidisciplinary team that consists of the Surgery Department, Endoscopy, the PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Ambulatory Services and Central Sterile. The Perioperative Operations team is comprised of individuals who are solely dedicated to the care of the surgical patient during the immediate preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative periods of the surgical experience. Williams has been employed at FSLH for more than 24 years, beginning as a technician in Central Sterile. Williams received his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix.
