Senator Charles Schumer wants to make it mandatory for airlines to include the cost of all carry-on fees with the original price quote so passengers know the true cost of a ticket before they purchase it.
This comes after several airline companies originally committed to never charging a fee for carry-on luggage stored in overhead bins--but one airline is charging up to $35 just for one carry-on bag.
As of right now, airlines are not requited to include the cost of carry-on baggage fees in the initial price quote.
