Friends & Family members come out for "Carbs Against Cancer" event

Hundreds of friends and family members came out today in support of the Carbs Against Cancer fundraiser.
The outdoor buffet was an effort to raise money for relay for life in memory of Chris Destito, New York State Commissioner RoAnn Destito's husband.
Celebrity waiters, like Senator Joseph Griffo and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente took part in the event.
"We're celebrating and enjoying eachother's company but also doing a good thing for search because we feel strongly that cancer research needs to go further to find a cure that is taking the lives of these young people in their 50s and even younger," said RoAnn Destito.
Last year, Team Chris raised seven-thousand dollars for cancer research.
